Cars
Volume 02
An ode to beautiful vintage vehicles on black & white film stock. A few of these cars were in production when I was a child. Some may not want to think about cars they grew up with being vintage, or the music they grew up with on the radio becoming “classic”.
I love it. I love this experience of aging, evolving, pushing to become a little wiser as each day passes. The vintage title is something to wear with pride, markings of our longevity, our ability to survive and adapt to this ever present force of change. I find so much beauty in the weathering, the old, the surviving. Temples, ancient structures, government buildings, historic towns, a cobblestone road. An old, well aged home has a type of beauty that a new ultra-modern home does not…although I do love those too. There is a comfort in age. Comfort that we can stand the brutality of time.
The same goes for cars. A well kept vintage Porsche just hits the pleasure center of the eyes a little differently, a little sweeter than a brand new GT3RS does...although I desperately want one of those too!
Here’s to the vintage creatures and creations of the world, and becoming one myself.
